You Need To Visit This Place At Least Once In Your Lifetime…Promise

I’ve been lucky enough to travel a great deal of the world and had the pleasure of touching down in some of the most awe inspiring places I could have ever imagined.

It’s hard to necessarily pin point a precise position when pondering the most breathtaking scenery or environment…I’ve ever experienced.

Recently though… I was questioning…just that…and…the answer I was starting to lean towards…may in fact quite shock you.

It’s only 96 miles away from my front door in Manchester.

It’s another country…technically…an hour and a half away in the car.

Wales.

For me…in my opinion…there is no place quite like it in the world.

I’ve been up…down…and around it…many times…and truly feel for many reasons…for me…it’s most definitely top 3 in the most beautiful and natural countries I have ever visited in my life so far.

If you catch it on a sunny day it will offer you scenery…views…and experiences like no other…from so many different outlets.

Catch it on a bad day…and there is still so much wonder and enchantment to be seen…if you are prepared to open your mind to it all.

I’ve just got back…and while there…was caught in a storm I could only liken to that in which I’ve only ever experienced before on the Gulf of Mexico or Florida…which made it even better…crazily enough.

To see and feel the sheer animalistic chaos created by nature…while in nature…is an extremely humbling process…especially in that type of environment.

We usually camp in a tent…but this time we set up her dad’s caravan…which was great.

I just like it me…pitch up somewhere high in the wilderness…and go adventuring…isolated…together…as a team…no matter the weather.

I’d go there on my own too…it’s that type of setting.

Over the years it’s been a great escape from the pace of the world…and if I’m honest…just fits more into how I like to live my life and what I enjoy.

If you’ve read my posts about travelling round Indonesia…then you will know at 32…I just like to be around places that take it back to being…a human…being.

No airs or graces.

That being said there are times where I don’t mind and do enjoy reaping the benefit of comfort…but there is absolutely nothing like being at one with the heartbeat of existence…in my opinion.

Wales to me provides exactly that…and has it all…something for everybody…if you are willing to go and find it.

I’ve been walking…camping…climbing…hiking…waterfall diving…cave excavating…abseiling…canyoneering…zip lining…exploring…and that’s all down to the vibe that the place has on your soul. (Plus I am a bit of a mentalist)

I can hand on heart tell you that no matter where you are from…this is a place you will fall in love with.

It offers you a total escape from the conventional system…with some of the best areas in England only an hour or two away from it. (Scotland not too far either really)

Stick it on your bucket list if you are a traveller and are wanting to see the real UK…you won’t be disappointed…that I promise you my friends.

It’s an environment that offers positive prosperity to body and mind…and one that is frequented by others that are seeking the same.

I know this whole rambling to be true because…for example…this time I was rushing…trying to do a million things before leaving…realised I had thrown my walking boots out…then half way there it became apparent that my waterproof jacket was still at home…like an idiot.

Spent 2 out of the three days pissed wet through…but what the country has to offer to a human…and to a relationship regarding team building and bonding…more than makes up for being soaked…was still an amazing time…still loved it.

There aren’t many places you can be cold and wet in bleak skies and still have a warm smile on your face.

As Norman Bates once said “We all…go a little mad sometimes”…so I’m a firm believer that when humans align themselves with true life…it regains and retains clarity…which is why visiting areas like these can change your life.

I don’t believe you can attain homeostasis…without adding in natural…functional…mental and physical living.

When you stand at the side of a river that has been turned into ferocious rapids…nothing around…but the sound of the water crashing…it’s…hard to think of yourself as the Mr or Mrs big in that scenario…seeing…knowing…feeling…that…if by any chance you slipped in…there wouldn’t be an option of survival…at all…Mother Nature would most definitely have her way with you regardless…every single time.

It’s more than humbling…as…you reach a true state of actual consciousness.

Driving round the mountains in a rain storm is one exhilarating thing to see and experience…but suddenly…it’s never become so apparent that a car isn’t a social representation of success or attractiveness…but is…a machine with limited capabilities…going up against the laws of nature…on a daily basis.

Something that can easily kill you and others if not used carefully and responsibly.

Life…consistently shows us that it’s far bigger than us…no matter how gifted or amazing we all are…and on a neurological level…I believe that something to be of significant importance to accept.

That’s what makes Wales such a wonder…the evidence is all around.

By the third day after the storms…the sun started to shine…so we climbed to the top of Snowdon to glorious views…it was truly inspiring…an experience…you would want others…to witness.

It exposes how small we really are in the grand scheme of things…it shows us…the real true beauty in living…is not found in monetary or social gain/representation…but…in realising the true eloquence of what we are all a part of…and…just being a part of…being here…in the first place.

I write this for those wanting to travel…but…I also write it for those feeling fed up…bored…anxious…or like they are not reaching their true potential.

No matter the problem you are going through…the question…conundrum…or uncertainty…when you stand on the edge of a mountain…looking out at what the views have to offer…it…just…all disappears.

Everything is put into perspective.

I advise this is my clinic for those who are struggling to see the delicate allure that is in front of them…get out there into an innate instinctive setting.

The experience of being able to take in such wonders is encased by the pride of knowing that you could have stayed it bed…you could have chilled…sat watching movies all day…or scrolling social media…but you got up early…persevered when you didn’t need to…pushed yourself against existence….and got to reap the benefits of becoming at one with it.

Hopefully by this point I’ve done a good enough job of selling you Wales…or…a place just like it…closer to yourself?

May I just end with…

It was not my intention to do a mountain in trainers and a hoodie but as I said…it was all I had to go with.

I would not have carried on to the summit if it had of been too wet or treacherous…would have turned back as we did walking the day before.

Again I do not advocate or promote this type of hiking or climbing…especially in mountains over 1000 meters…where weather conditions can quite easily change…but…it is what it is…I did it with ease…and have the experience of having done it before.

Always be far more prepared than I was though and learn from my mistake…as I will.

Do you have any places you recommend to me…I’m feeling a trip soon?

While I was in Wales 2 years ago I did the fastest zip line in the world…reaching up to speeds of 100mph…here is a video below…sadly the positioning on the helmet did not give the greatest POV…but…if you visit…you must do it!

Guest posts are always welcome on the clinic website…I just want to share other people’s stories…as we offer many different services…and information on varied topics.

    1. Haha no way! That’s brilliant to hear. You will absolutely love it. Some of the bays and coastlines are also to die for!

      You’re from Canada though right?

Been all around it, but not yet to actual Canada. I think that’s next on my list personally!
