THE CHAIN OF COMMAND MY FRIENDS – THIS MAY CHANGE YOUR DAMN LIFE

I’m going to be really blunt here…

Physically…when it comes to injury…pain…discomfort and restriction within basic full body movement and movement patterns…your body answers to how fucked your overall posture and alignment is.

There are chains…links…systems and levels…from the bottom to the top (in this case…from the feet up to the head and back down)

When problems occur It isn’t even necessarily about the severity of the weakness…injury…”switch off”…or imbalance across those areas.

It’s all in the positioning and the placement of that weakness…injury…switch off…or imbalance.

The positioning and the placement are what dictate and determine the scope for transferability across the rest of the body.

Together they affect the chain of command…bringing change to the hierarchy of movement (for example hurt the thumb and it’s going to be an issue…but hurt the big toe…or the pelvis…and the chains and the links start to come apart on a larger scale…across a bigger surface area in the end…causing more problems…increasing the probability of further injury)

Let’s be real…society does not pay anywhere near enough attention to teaching people how to truly maintain a human body…our bodies.

What the general public get is weakened…watered down…conflicting…generic bullshit…that always leads to you spending your money some way…but never fully fixing the problem(s)

That’s the point that I’m making here guys…A problem created…is going to lead to…problems…plural…and any problem created usually didn’t happen by chance or for just one sole reason in the first place.

The mind and the body is underestimated in this day and age of technology…so when something gets out of whack…you better be concentrating on it and I can tell you this from personal experience.

If you don’t…then it won’t be long before other things start going to shit…even if it is your thumb that was the problem.

The body has to answer to and follow a chain of command and react with it…but reaction isn’t really a key factor…when the body has the capability to adapt.

The body is literally a machine…it will always find a way…to find a way…creating new patterns to over ride and overcome the correct mechanism…subconsciously…naturally…we are built to survive!

It will adapt…whether you know it or not…wether you like it or not.

Once your brain and your structure get used to living out of alignment…then that’s when the body as a unit starts to move out of alignment…which is when your ticket to injury…or a list of problems to choose from later in life is printed (and I’m talking about the simplest of problems like walking properly.. .sitting properly…standing properly…picking things up properly)

Apply this to yourself

What I’m getting at is…if you injure your knee and go through the whole process of that scenario…stop just focusing on the knee…and the area surrounding it…focus on the chain of command…bottom to the top…top to the bottom.

Unless it’s from an isolated incident e.g. car crash…falling out of a tree…getting your leg ran over…It’s more than likely the injury came from an amalgamation of mechanical issues in the first place.

Issues that either haven’t yet come to light or haven’t yet been addressed…so the problem will stay their until fully identified…the problem will create other problems…which will worsen the original unidentified problem which worsens the problems created which creates morrrreee………you get the drift lol!?

This is what leads and transfers to the issues in movement when…living…working out…and performing in athletic endeavours.

Even in the instances of mechanical issues not being the case…those instances of falling out of a tree and breaking your leg…you still can’t escape the chain of command…as for sure the break will have created it’s fair share of other issues across the entirety of the body!

No injury can be fixed or rehabilitated if the problem was created…or it spanned from a deviation in the bodies hierarchy of movement…and the prescription…is to treat it as an isolated incident…or to give the generic response of…”Let’s work on some core strength”

SO TO WRAP IT UP…KEEPING WITH THE KNEE INJURY VIBE….

The end result may be any type of injury to the knee or surrounding area…but the questions you have to ask yourself are…where was the origin…what were the starting causes…what other areas have been affected…are those other areas now deteriating each other and the original…annnnd…amalgamated…are they still continuously creating further issues to come later somewhere down the line later in life (a shoulder injury/a hip injury etc)

IN MY OPINION AND FROM WHAT IVE EXPERIENCED…

All the knee physio…all the knee massage…all the stretching…all the training…and all the rehabilitation in the world will mean nothing…if the true issue is not being addressed and focused on.

DON’T JUST CARRY ON…YOU CAN ADDRESS THE AREA OF PAIN…BUT YOU NEED TO ADRESS THE CAUSE OF THE EFFECT.

THE BODY DOES NOT PERFORM WITHOUT THE MIND…THE MIND CONTROLS THE BODY…SO MASTER YOUR MIND…AND THE BODY WILL FOLLOW…MY FRIENDS.

I hope this was a helping hand to some people who just can’t seem to shake certain niggles and injuries.
